As you've probably noticed, the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Community Website and with it the official game forums are not currently accessible. Splash Damage invites all of you to come visit them at Splash Damage's own forums at www.splashdamage.com.

If you've not visited the site before, SplashDamage.com is very regularly updated with the latest news about Quake Wars, Splash Damage and our newest title Brink, and it's (at least currently) the only place on the internet where Splash Damage developers may moderate your forum threads.

You can also visit the PlanetQuake Wars.net Forum where you also find a lot of informations about ET:QW and some other Games like Splash Damages Brink or id Softwares Rage.

A brand-new teaser trailer has been released for Quake Wars Online, the free-to-play version of Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars being created for the Korean market. Quake Wars Online is in development at South Korean studio Dragonfly and features ETQW's familiar GDF and Strogg forces as they battle it out for Earth using a multitude of weapons, deployables, and vehicles.

Better yet, the game's freshly relaunched website has word that Quake Wars Online is moving into a limited public testing phase with slots for some 100,000 willing gamers. If you fancy participating, you can sign up until December 28, though it looks like this is available to Korean players only.

It's hard to believe, but Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars arrived on your Earth on this date two years ago. A heartfelt thanks goes out to the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars community past and present - you guys elevated the game to new heights and truly made it your own. Voting for the 27th Golden Joystick Awards is in full swing and Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars and its PC developer Splash Damage are up in five categories:

• Multiplayer Game of the Year - Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars
• PlayStation Game of the Year - Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars
• UK Developer of the Year - Splash Damage
• The Ultimate Game of the Year - Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars
• Xbox Game of the Year - Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars

This round of voting will end on May 22 (that's in two days), so head on over there and make your voice heard. The most popular entries in each category will go on to the final round of voting, with the winners announced on October 30th.

German gaming magazine PC Action has put together a list of what they think are the 33 best first person shooters of all time. We're delighted to see Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars on the list and all the way up at #11, snuggling up to BioShock. Splash Damage is sending out christmascards to homepages who write about their christmas project and spend £50 to Baird's Tapir Project.

Unbelievable, but Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is getting one Year old. Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars was released in Europe on September 28, 2007, with the North American release following on October 2.

Tribal Wars is a brand-new total conversion modification for Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars that promises to bring a Cyclops-sized dose of Starsiege: Tribes to the game. The mod is said to focus heavily on CTF-style gameplay and will feature all-new weapons, player models, and levels. For those of you wanting to see and read more about it, the Tribal Wars website is now online and features a trailer, screenshots, concept art, and a development blog. There's no release date yet, but the team is looking to have a public beta at some point in the unspecified future.
